A presentation on child support using the guidelines in F.S. 61.30. and the related forms 12.902(e) and 12.943. We will discuss the main factors to consider in determining the base child support as well as issues that may arise in determining net income (e.g., imputed income, bonus payments, business income, in-kind reimbursement, etc.). We will also review additional requirements for substantial time sharing (in excess of 20%), reasons for deviations from the guidelines, other child costs that may impact the calculation, and the possibility of a retroactive component in the initial determination.
